Ten years ago today, we were celebrating the grand opening of the Rotary Education Centre at Riverview Park and Zoo!

Built through the generous support of both the Rotary Club of Peterborough and the estate of long-term Rotarian, Clarence "Pug" Pugsly, it is a multi-purpose room located in our Guest Services building found just inside the main entrance gate. It can accommodate up to 50 people and also houses some of our amphibian and reptile exhibits, such as our African dwarf crocodiles and Sulawesi Forest turtles, that can be observed on the south side of the building.

In the last decade, the Rotary Education Centre has welcomed over 54,000 students for environmental education programs, 160 unique non-profit groups for regular meetings, and has hosted more than 200 professional training courses.  Just a few of the impacts of this legacy project!

Many thanks to the Rotary Club of Peterborough for their continued support of Riverview Park and Zoo and for making this space possible.
